HOW TO MAKE A Cute Twisted headband in 6 easy steps
I love making headbands. They are quick and easy AND I can use some of the leftover fabric that I have from other projects! But I specially love these twisted headbands because they look great! I will show how I make them in 6 easy steps!
Who loves a cute headband? I know, I do! For me, they are specially great when I am having a bad hair day, we go camping, or I am in a windy open safari vehicle! So, let’s get to it!
First, let’s talk a little bit about sizes. Normally I good size for an adult would be 20 inches long x 8-9 inches wide. I personally prefer 8 inches, I think it’s wide enough but it’s a personal preference.
Now, if you want to be able to customize your headband for any head I would measure around the head (following the invisible line that the headband would follow). Let’s say that the measurement for an adult is 22 inches, then I would substract 2 inches and use that as my length.
If you buy half a yard of fabric I have calculated that you can make 6 headbands (2 for little girls, 2 for teens, and 2 for adults) with the following dimensions:
17 x 7.5 inches (x2 for girls)
19 x 7.5 inches (x2 for teens)
21 x 7.5 inches (x2 for adults)
These measurements will be helpful if you are trying to maxime your fabric for a pop-up or artisan market.
ALL DONE!
Congratulations, you made it! You can add your tags if you’d like at the end.
